for the ladies

SAY YES TO THE DRESS!

Dresses and skirts are a great choice for your session – they flatter every body type, add movement to the photos, and are often more comfortable than pants. I recommend skipping the shorts and going for a dress or two, especially flowy ones in fabrics like chiffon or tulle. I also have a client closet with some options, so feel free to ask!

When choosing the length, consider how much you'll be moving with little ones. While shorter dresses are cute, a floor-length or mini dress might be easier for chasing kids. Ultimately, go for what feels comfortable – if you’re a jeans-and-shirt kind of person, that’s totally fine, just make sure you’re comfortable! It’ll show in your photos.

accessories

Accessories can elevate your look and add visual interest, especially when coordinating with a group. Statement necklaces make a big impact, while smaller ones may not pop as much. Choose one or two accessories like belts, headbands, or earrings that complement your outfit.

Also, skip the spray tan—it can appear orange on camera. Your natural skin tone will look best!

hair and makeup

The last thing you want to stress about during your session is how your hair and makeup look! Professionally done hair and makeup not only last longer but also hold up better against humidity and wind, so you can focus on enjoying the moment and looking your best! I have some recommendations if you would like them!

shoes

Shoes can really make or break your look, so choose a pair that fits the vibe and is comfortable since you’ll be moving around, maybe even jumping or chasing after little ones! If you can totally rock heels, go for it! Just make sure they look great and you’re comfy enough to enjoy the session!
